New Jersey’s Ten Best Inclusive Playground Spaces

Written by Liz Sankey | April 5, 2022

MRC designs inclusive play environments that go beyond accessibility. Backed by independent research and based on guidelines developed by leaders in the field of inclusive design, our play and recreation spaces address the needs of the whole child, and of every child. They also encourage children, adults, and families of all abilities to experience the benefits of play, together!

Our goal is to help communities design environments that allow all people to participate in play, regardless of age or ability, and to prove that play has no limit.

We believe the following locations to be some of New Jersey’s most inclusive play spaces. These playgrounds and splash pads include inclusive play elements that go beyond double wide ramps and accessible safety surfacing  for ease of access. They feature inclusive, creative, collaborative activities such as interactive sensory gizmos and panels, musical play instruments, and much more.
