Anderson Center for Autism

The Anderson Center for Autism in Staatsburg, NY installed a unique play and fitness area in a relatively small footprint.

From a play perspective, four bays of swings and a climbing apparatus steal the show. In the surrounding area, several outdoor commercial fitness equipment pieces can be found. Finally, a communication board was installed as well. These boards promote inclusivity at a playground. GameTime partnered with Boardmaker, the leader in visual communication tools, to create a panel that makes it easy for everyone to communicate on the playground. Visitors can use the panel to identify the area or activity they want to experience, or describe how they are feeling to their peers. For the safety surfacing, RubberBond ELEVATE was installed in a 50/50 blend of blue and black EPDM granules.
