Fireman's Field Park

Fireman's Field Park in Ocean Township, NJ is recognized by Playcore and GameTime as a National Demonstration Site (NDS) for Play On! for the strategic design best practices that were implemented throughout the play area promoting physical activity and fitness through active play.

To qualify as an NDS Play On! playground, six key elements of play that promote physical activity were included: balancing, brachiating, climbing, spinning, sliding, and swinging.  Poured in place rubber was installed throughout the playground area for an easily accessible safety surfacing that requires little maintenance. Adjacent to the playground area is a baseball field where the Town also installed dugout shade structures for both team benches.
