The Story
The City of Hines, in partnership with MRC GameTime, has transformed this space into a vibrant, destination-quality playground that doubles as a true community gathering hub. Designed with intention and imagination, the park blends bold play experiences with meaningful inclusivity, creating a place where visitors of all ages can connect, play, and stay longer.
Phase 1, completed in 2025, introduced signature play features that immediately set the site apart, most notably the striking multi-tower play structure, the exhilarating 50’ SkyRun® Zip Track, and the innovative Shadow Play TriRunner®. These centerpiece attractions are paired with a thoughtfully designed GTImpax patriotic poured-in-place surfacing concept, featuring a flowing American flag design that visually “flies” across the ground, making the entire space feel dynamic and alive.
Comfort and usability were built into every detail. Shaded seating areas, strategically placed benches, and convenient trash receptacles ensure the park is as welcoming as it is exciting. Even the color palette was carefully curated - bold, purposeful, and distinct - reinforcing the site’s identity as a one-of-a-kind community landmark.
The SkyRun® Zip Track delivers an unforgettable sensation of motion, giving users the thrilling feeling of flight. Its molded Zip and the Zero-G inclusive seat design ensures that children of all abilities can participate fully and safely, turning excitement into shared experience rather than exclusion.
Equally imaginative, the TriRunner® redefines playground motion with a three-seat rotating design. As users spin and glide, the structure casts ever-changing, playful shadows across the ground, adding a visual layer of storytelling that extends beyond the equipment itself and engages everyone watching nearby.
Now, Phase 2 is underway and further elevating the experience. This expansion introduces two 2–5 age play structures, an Inclusive Whirl, and a five-bay swing set featuring a variety of swing experiences, including GameTime’s Expression swings, the original tot seat and the tandem swing. The GTImpax poured-in-place surfacing continues seamlessly from Phase 1, completing the full American flag design and adding six vibrant “firework” bursts, bringing the entire composition to a dramatic and celebratory finish.
Together, these phases create more than a playground—they establish a landmark built for connection, inclusion, and unforgettable play.
