The city of Bangor, Maine has been actively renovating and replenishing their local parks with elements of play. Over the past year, we have worked with Bangor city officials on both Broadway Park (shown above), and Bangor Gardens Park. Both new commercial playground structures incorporate natural colors that allow the play systems to blend in with their natural surroundings. The city requested that the playgrounds consist of several specific elements including spiral slides, arched bridges, climbing walls, net climbers and more. Our playground designers were able to meet all of the requests leaving the city with two awesome GameTime playground structures for community members to enjoy.
About Broadway Park: On both sides of Broadway, one of Bangor’s major thoroughfares, Broadway Park features a playground on the east side and towering trees on the west side that are just right for kicking back and reading a book under, watching life pass by, or playing a game of catch or fetch with your dog.
About Bangor Gardens: Deep within the Bangor Gardens housing complex, formerly used by military personnel, Bangor Gardens Park features a basketball hoop and a playground. In the summer, the Bangor Parks and Recreation Department conducts programs for children at the park. In the winter, a portion of the park is flooded for ice skating.
